aftermath

I think the hardest moments in life are the ones you live right after the worst storms have passed. You know, those moments in which your heart is still pounding and you’re surprised you made it out alive, but you have no idea what to do next. You just stand there and wonder if you could have done anything different, if you could have avoided being in the storm altogether. But that’s the thing, you don’t know. So, you cry your last tear and you pick a direction and you just take a step into the debris and hope the path ahead doesn’t have too many nails and broken glass. You just hope and pray that you’re walking into better weather.
